On Tuesday, antitrust panels will examine the $48 billion merger deal between AT&T (T) and DirecTV (DTV).
The hearings will include the CEOs of both companies as well as several public interest groups and cable TV peers. Two hearings will be held on Tuesday – the House in the morning and the Senate in the afternoon. As regulators examine the merger between AT&T and DirecTV, they are also evaluating the Comcast (CMCSA) and Time Warner Cable (TWC
) deal, which was announced in February.

AT&T shares were mostly flat during pre-market trading Tuesday. The stock is up 0.65% YTD.
